What Is Tree Water?
Also known as sap, it is a clear, nutrient-rich water naturally filtered by maple trees that contains electrolytes and antioxidants. Maple water is tapped in the springtime and usually boiled down to make maple syrup. Instead, we source it straight from the trees, minimally processed for a delicious, lower-sugar alternative to coconut water or other plant-based waters.
In the springtime, when the days heat up and the nights are chilly, a thawing effect occurs which forces sap through maple trees.
During this time, maple trees pull groundwater up through their root system, which creates sap (a.k.a tree water).
The water is then naturally filtered by the tree, picking up ultra-hydrating minerals, nutrients and electrolytes along the way.
